TIGER TIP-OFF

My name is Trey Perry and I am a junior at Doane Univeristy in Crete, Nebraska. I am a Journalism and Media major and an Information Technology minor. I am involved in several organizations on campus including the campus radio station, TV station, magazine, newspaper, and Sigma Phi Theta Fraternity. I hope to one day be a news producer for a TV or radio station and eventually work my way up to a Program Director. I am originally from Santa Fe, New Mexico but moved to Nebraska at a young age and grew up in York, Nebraska.

When coming to Doane, I initially declared my major as Athletic Training. After soon realizing that science and math were not my strong suit, I decided to try something else, eventually finding myself in the Doane Journalism Department. I had always been a curious kid ans was always interested in how news organizations worked. So, after my first class and first week of working for the campus newspaper, I was hooked. I loved investigating stories and seeking out sources. I loved editing videos and making them my own piece of art. I loved being able to update the public and wander how they would react after reading some of the stories I wrote. So, as part of my latest journalism class, I have been assigned to report on Doane's sports beat, which is anything and everything involved with Doane athletics.
